DMA Pantograph View Video (PVV)
The Pantograph View Video system produces digital images for pantograph inspection and defect detection.
The Pantograph visual inspection system is composed of the following modules:
- Pantograph View Video (PVV)
- Pantograph thermal camera (OPTIONAL)
- LED illuminators
Pantograph View Video
The Pantograph View Video (PVV), also called the pantocam, is a visual inspection system installed on the vehicle’s roof, usually above the centre of the track, close to the pantograph. PVV consists of a video camera that collects digital images of the pantograph while in operation mainly for visualization and review of the contact wire – pantograph interface and possible detected defects.

The system can inspect the pantograph/contact wire interface and the rest of the pantograph elements as listed below.

- Section separators
- Measurement stick on contact shoe (with pantograph up)
